Socks is a Nova Scotia Ductolling Retriever. This breed was developed in the early 1900's in Nova Scotia, Canada. The breed is used for hunting ducks and other water fowl.

Socks was born in October 1993, outside Boston, Massachusetts. She flew to Washington, DC, where we picked her up to bring her home in Frederick, MD. She is an excellent dog with our two children and gets along well with all of the family when they come to visit.

Socks weighs about 38 pounds.
