After about an hour or so of frenzied climbing, you finally reach the top. You simply lay there for a few minutes, panting and trying to catch your breath. You gaze up at the Dark Castle wonderingly, and then get up, brushing yourself off.
You bravely walk up to the door and raise your hand to knock, but the door opens with a deep hinge-creak of its own accord. You peer inside cautiously, but find nothing and no one. The hall is empty, and you quickly step inside. The door shuts with a loud clang behind you.
You look around, but there doesn't seem to be much you can see. It
is pitch dark inside, with a few spare torches guttering low on the
walls. Just enough light to see where you're going. You take a torch
off the wall in an effort to be able to see more than 5 feet in front
of you and start down the hall. You reach the end of it and are
confronted by three choices. The hall splits into three corridors--one
to the left, to the right, and straight ahead.
Chicken out and sail back to the Crossroads
