We love to go to the Carolina
Renaissance Festival. We went to our first on the day after
our wedding; it was a delightful way to start our honeymoon! We got all dressed up --
I love to sew, so I created our costumes -- a Maid Marian costume for me, with skirt,
blouse, hooded cape, and hat, and breeches, cape, and tunic for Tim.
We've continued going to the Faire; in 1996 I made costumes for a couple we knew (for her, a bodice and skirt in one, with a chemise and a plaid, and, for him, a great kilt), and a new one for me (bodice, skirt, and chemise). Another friend wore my costume from last year. |
