Chapter 2

Danny

When Friday came, I was getting all hyped up for the evening date. I could barely concentrate In class and the day went past In a daze.

To tell you the truth, I have no idea how Tricia looks like or what she is. All I heard from Niki was that she’s a great person, fun-loving, out-going and totally mad. Ever since I broke up with Kristi, I’ve almost completely given up hope on love. Let’s hope this evening would make me change my mind.

I decided on a Stüssy shirt and Tommy Hilfiger jeans, casual-smart. It took me a good half an hour to get ready. I gelled my fringe up, going for the slick look. After spraying on some CK Be, I was all set and ready to go.

I arrived at the Cineplex at six o’clock sharp and saw a slim, pretty girl in a halter-neck top and baggy jeans sitting on a bench at the side. I wasn’t sure if it was her, but I sure hope she was.

So I stood there for about three minutes, checking her out, when she got up and walked my way. She was poetry in motion, her every move mesmerised me. When she stopped in front of me, I could barely breathe, let alone talk to her.
