Chapter 3

Tricia

Chapter 3 I reached the Cineplex quarter of an hour early, so I assume he wouldn’t be there yet. I sat on a bench and watched the crowds join and part before me. There were couples walking hand in hand happily in love. It’s been months since I last had a proper kiss, but no big deal, I never needed someone like Brad anyway.

At exactly six o’clock, I caught sight of this tall, fit-looking, surfer-dude kinda guy walking into the building. Was he the one? Blond hair, green eyes, check. Okay, I told myself, after contemplating for a while, this is it.

I walked over to him, trying to be as calm and composed as possible. I stopped in front of him and I must say he looked a bit goofy, the way he was looking at me. I couldn’t help but laugh.

"What?" He asked, somewhat embarrassed.

"Oh nothing. Are you Danny?" I probed, hoping the answer was a yes. Man, he is such a looker! (*drool*)

He nodded shyly and the two ends of his mouth moves up slightly to reveal an endearing smile, his dimples complimenting his boyish charms. He didn’t say anything and neither did I. We were both too shy to make a move.

Fortunately for me, he broke the silence by poking me in the arm. Okay, not very glamorous. "So, what movie do you wanna watch? I heard ‘Wild Things’ is a pretty cool film," he spoke in a low, well-maintained tone.

I glanced up at the display board and none of the other films seemed interesting enough so we agreed on his suggestion. We bought the tickets and popcorn and went into the cinema to watch Neve Campbell and Denise Richards do their thing. Highly entertaining, I must say.
