Re: Vertical Watch Program Meeting
The Metro Police Force recently delivered to every apartment notice of a public meeting to be held on (date, time) at (building address and location of meeting room).
The purpose of this meeting is to establish a Vertical Watch Program in our building. Vertical Watch involves residents working together to help prevent crime and vandalism, making high-rise buildings safer and more enjoyable places for everyone.
Police crime prevention experts and representatives from building security and management will be present at this meeting, but you are the most important participant. At least half of the building's residents must sign on as members before a Vertical Watch Program can be established. There are no costs associated with membership, and it is entirely voluntary.
Your support is vital to the success of this project. If you cannot attend the above meeting, at your earliest opportunity, please visit the management office at (office address), and sign on as a Vertical Watch member. We also need volunteer floor captains, one for each floor. You may volunteer for this position as well. All we need to begin with is your name, apartment number, and phone number.
For an explanation of what a regular Vertical Watch member or a floor captain does, please come to the meeting, or ask when you visit the office.
Anyone can join Vertical Watch: young adults, seniors, people with limited mobility. We are doing all we can to make our building safer and more pleasant, any help that you can give is greatly appreciated.
Please visit the management office this week and sign up, and plan to attend the meeting on the (date of meeting).
