02 Oct 1938 p. In the home of his sister, Clara Adams (Mrs. George Small) in Monroe City, Indiana. His body was shipped back to Kansas for burial. Cemetery: Mt. Hope, Mt. Hope, Kansas

Ada Elizabeth Whiteman

b. 23 Nov 1875 p. Galesburgh,Jasper County, Iowa

James Robert left Indiana at the age of 23. . While brother went to Mount Hope, Kansas, James Robert went to Iowa. It is unknown as to why the migrated to separate areas. James Robert and Ada Elizabeth had three children in Iowa and one in Valley Center, Kansas in 1908. It is known that James and Ada did finally settle in Mount Hope but not until after the time that Samuel Alton Adams had died in 1895.
