White Rose Lamp
(beside a standard imperial
quart)
This electric lamp, intended
for dealer showrooms ,and is very pretty when lit .
It is made from translucent celluloid
and measures 8" dia . x 13" tall .
The top, which has holes to allow
heat to escape , is attached with a wing nut to allow bulb changes.
Too high a wattage bulb proved to
be the demise of many of these lamps . Like the quarts and gallons,
they were printed in English on one
side and French on the other . I have also seen a larger lamp ,
modeled after the 5 gallon Boy and
Slate pail . Sadly it had been melted to about 1/2 its former size.
