Introduction Intro- The becoming of a Reikai Detective Yuusuke Urameshi's death - We are introduced to Urameshi Yuusuke in his spirit form. The 1st episode starts off with him being knocked down by a car while kicking a toddler out of the way. Confused, he thinks back to the things leading up to this event. After missing ten days of school, our main character storms out of the school again after being insulted. In a bad mood, he proceeds to beat up long time rival Kuwabara Kazuma, who has been picking fights with him for the last [insert big number] days, and has his daylights beaten out of. Yuusuke continues to walk along the road feeling better, and personally lectures a toddler kicking a soccer on the road. After wards, the kid continues to kick his ball on the street, and no doubt, lands in the middle of the road, with a man speeding down the street with his girlfriend in a red car. Yuusuke then decides to run in and push the kid out of the way, and presently, is killed in doing so. He then realizes that he has now become a soul, and we now see Botan, the diety of death. Her job now is to explain that Yuusuke's death was un-expected, and that he should take a test to live again. After watching a heart breaking funeral, where his long time girl friend Keiko has perpetual tears running down her eyes, Kuwabara demanding him come back to fight him, and the tears of his mother, stubborn Yuusuke finally accepts. The test- After many tensions of time running out, Yuusuke's soul is finally reunited with his own body. On feeling great that he can freely move now, he goes to his usual cafe, only to find that Kuwabara's being blackmailed when another 'bad' group has taken hostage of his cat. Kuwabara's group and his rivals take it outside, where the leader of the other gang makes Kuwabara apologizes. Yuusuke steps in and retrives the cat, and a free-for-all, as-long-as-it- isn't-your-teammate, takes place, and Yuusuke chases after the cowardly leader. On knocking him out under a tunnel, an entity with several horns and grey skin emerges from the mouth of the unconsious leader. Catching it before escapes, Botan, now in human form, comes up from behind to tell him that he has a fate and potential to become a Reikai Detective. From that day onwards, Yuusuke's adventures start.....
