Finding URL's

This method works to get the URL's of images such as backgrounds, or even like my "dancin' gal" above, and audio such as midis. It may look difficult, but once you practice it a time or two, it will seem really easy.

Using your keyboard do the following:
  1. Find a source for the background, image or sound that you want.
  2. Access the INDIVIDUAL item ( the background, other type of image or sound ) and in the case, of a sound, make sure it's playing.
  3. Access your WebTV "options".
  4. Click on "Go To"
  5. Click on " show last" NOT "show current".
  6. A popup will appear with the URL in the slot.
  7. Move your cursor ALL the way to the left and then all the way to the RIGHT to view the entire URL.
  8. As an optional method, when you get to this step, click on " Info" to get the URL
  9. Now you can either "cut, copy and paste" ( CCP ) the URL or just copy it to type into your sig page.

I DON'T suggest CCP as a process if you are new to html. The reason for this, is that you will be in better shape to correct errors and manipulate html if you learn to "hand code" first.
( Why? )
...Because you need to " train " your eyes, to spot errors, and that's easier to learn by entering the code by hand and learning what each code ( or html tag ) means and does.

Trust me, after using html for a while, you'll swear that your TV has a " crumb tray " full of lost brackets and quote marks.
( The darn things DO disappear, as if they slid off the screen. I have NO idea why or how.)

If you haven't actually PUT them there yourself, you won't even know where to look for the error, and won't be able to repair the page at a later date, because most likely, you will not have saved the original URL...and will not understand that every quote needs a mate and where the placement needs to be to make the code work.

( Yeah so where and how do you type it? )
okokokok, I'm gettin' to it !
