Later that afternoon, the two bands took a flight to go to Nevada 
for the billboard awards. That night, Northern Lights parents were 
flying in to watch them present awards the next day. Xavier, Yapo, & 
Martinique were at the airport waiting to pick all of the girls' 
parents up. 
    *RING* *RING* *RING* 
    "Hello" Diana answered. 
    "Um, Diana?" they had a short conversation. 
    Then Diana said, "Girls, you know when we're traveling, you can 
always talk to Walker & I anytime about anything because, we're 
responsiblefor you ok?" 
    "OK" the girls said in unison, getting suspicious. 
    "Beth, your bodyguard would like to talk to you," Diana said 
giving her a sympithetic look.
    "Beth?" asked Xavier. 
    Beth started shaking, dropped the phone, burst out crying, then 
ran into the other room. Kristin grabbed the phone next. 
    "Get Martinique on the phone now!" she screamed. 
    She talked to him, handed Kate the phone, then walked dazed into 
the room where Beth was. Kate talked to Yapo, then dropped to her 
knees, crying. The guys looked puzzled. They felt really bad even 
though they had no idea what had happened. The next night at the 
billboard awards, Hanson & Northern Lights went to the podium. All 
last night the girls had barely stopped crying and hadn't eaten 
anything. 
    Taylor looked at Beththen asked her, "Beth, are you ok?" 
    At that, Beth exploded in front of the crowd. She shook her head, 
looked at Taylor with tears in her eyes. 
    "You want to know if I'm ok? Alright," Beth stated calmly, "MY
PARENTS JUST DIED AND YOU WANT TO KNOW IF I'M OK?!?" she screamed at
the top of her lungs.
