Everyone (meaning the six teens) was in the living room, except Beth,
when Taylor walked through the front door with a handful of roses. "Oh
my gosh! Those are so beautiful!" Kate exclaimed. "Who are they for?"
asked Zac. "Who do you think dum dum?!" "Me?!" Kristin replied. "No,"
Taylor answered. "Gee, I was just kidding! I know they're for your
girlfriend," Kristin replied."She's not my girlfriend," Taylor said
blushing. "Yet," Isaac finished. Taylor ignored him and asked, "Where
is Beth anyway?" "I don't know. I think she's still up in our room
amusing herself," answered Kate. Taylor started up the stairs to the
girls room, but turned around quickly to see the others following him.
"What do you think you're doing?" Taylor asked. "Going up the stairs.
What does it look like we're doing?" replied Zac. "Oh, I don't know.
Maybe following me?" Taylor said. "What ever gave you that idea?" Kate
asked playing stupid. "Maybe because you're coming up the stairs after
me and then intend to watch what's going to happen." "Oh, yeah, like
we had that in mind!" Isaac said. "You did. I know you did. You know
you did. Everybody knows you did. Besides, you'll probably hear what's
going on from me or Beth eventually. Now why don't you go downstairs
and make me some brownies. Ok?" "Oh, fine," Kristin replied pushing
everyone down the stairs. "But you're not getting any brownies!"
Taylor walked the rest of the way up the stairs and knocked on the
bedroom door. "Who is it?"Beth asked. "It's me. Can I come in?" Taylor
replied. "I suppose," Taylor walked into the room and shut the door.
Beth's eyes lit up when she saw the roses. "So do you like them?"
Taylor asked, already knowing the answer as he handed her the flowers.
"Of course! They're beautiful! But why?" "Well after I threw out the
ones you dad gave you, I thought it was the least I could do. I know
it won't bring back the old memories. But maybe it could bring new
ones." In the mean time, Isaac, Zac, Kate, & Kristin had quietly
creeped up the stairs after Taylor had shut the door. All of them had
an ear up to the door. "On this is so exciting!" Zac exclaimed. "Shh!
Be quiet! I'm trying to do what I do best," Kate said quietly. "That's
what you do best?" Isaac asked. "Maybe," Kate replied. "Now who's
being loud?" Zac asked. "Guys, I'll be right back," Kate said as she
went around the corner just in time to see Taylor open the door and
Zac fall in. "Uh, hi," Zac said. "What do you think you're doing now?"
Taylor asked, getting anoyed while Beth just laughed. "I'm not doing
anything. What do you think you're doing big guy?" Zac exclaimed,
still a little surprised he had fallen into the room. "That's none of
you're business, now get lost!" Taylor said now mad. He slammed the
door shut. Kate walked back into the hallway, "So guys, what's going
on?" "How did you know he was going to do that?" Zac asked. "I told
you that's what I do best," Kate answered as she put her ear back to
the door. Just then, Taylor opened the door and Kate fell in. "Gosh,
what's next?" Taylor asked. "Oops," Kate said not knowing what else to
say. "It's always something with you guys isn't it?" Taylor asked.
"Yeah," said Zac trying not to laugh. "Ok we get the picture. Let's go
guys," KAte said as she got up from the ground. All four went down the
stairs, and Taylor waited until they were gone before he went back
into the room. As the four went into the living room, they couldn't
help but start laughing hysterically. Back upstairs, Beth was still
laughing. "What are you laughing at?" Taylor asked confused. "Zac...
then Kate..." Beth was trying to talk but she was laughing to hard.
Taylor had to smile at this. "It wasn't that funny," Taylor said. "Yes
it was," Beth said trying to calm down. After Beth calmed down Taylor
asked, "You know the other day in the tree house?" "Yeah." "Well, how
come you didn't asked me to stay?" "I don't know, I guess I was just
shocked you...kissed me," Beth said. "Well, I guess I understand. I
was kinda shocked too." "You were?" Beth asked. "Well, yeah."
"Anyways, you could have stayed. It's your tree house," Beth said.
"Well, I would have but I thought you would slap me. So I ran away
before you could hurt me." "Well I might have slapped you, but I
figured you already had enough red in your face from blushing." "Uh,
thanks, I guess," Taylor said blushing deeply." Beth started laughing
at this. "See, I told ya," "Told me what?" "Your blushing," Beth said
laughing. "I'd kind of appreciate it if you wouldn't laugh at me,"
Taylor said. "Sorry," Beth said taking deep breathes. "Mmm," Beth said
pretending to meditate now it was Taylor's turn to laugh. "Well, I'm
kinda hungry. Let's go get something to eat." Said Beth. "Ok," Taylor
agreed.
