cybervenue_westlife: Bryan: We actually had to change our name. We were worried people would forget who we were. It was originally Westside, however it ended up getting us a lot of press

cybervenue_westlife: Bryan: One fan got me a big cake for my birthday with about 5000 Jelly Babies on it. It was nice!

cybervenue_westlife: Yes! We like uptempos also, but ballads are better. We like to perform them. Singing live and in the studio, it's better to sing ballads.

cybervenue_westlife: Tomorrow we head to Rhode Island to do a performance in a mall. Then we go to Los Angeles to shoot a video. The director is Nigel Dick??s done videos for the Backstreet Boys & Britney. The video will be shot in a car wash!

cybervenue_westlife: Yes...a few! Today Shane hit a bum note, but he got over it! Nicky?rousers fell down once??had on Calvin Klein Boxers on so it was ok.

cybervenue_westlife: Shane: Definitely, yes! Our second CD will have a lot more uptempos. We haven?anted to copy other bands. We are doing more vocals right now to try to be more original. We'll be doing a lot of uptempos in our live show??ot of energy!

cybervenue_westlife: Nicky: Moments?? first couple lines are very deep. It makes me cry. Not literally, but it's very touching.
cybervenue_host: What type of activities will you being doing currently in the U.S.?
cybervenue_westlife: Nicky: We are doing a lot of autograph signings, then a video in LA. We are also shooting a FOX FAMILY CHANNEL special which should be airing soon. For the details check CyberVenue!

Shane: Very good. we weren't in Ireland, we did Blue Peter and it was good fun and we had a couple of fizzy pops in the evening

Shane: We don't mind. Some people don't like it when you're older and you're into our music but that's nothing to do with us. It's all about the music.

Shane: Our tour manager had a new Rolex and we took it off his wrist while he was asleep on the plane.

Bryan: We spent three days filming 'If I Let You Go' in the sun in Teneriffe. Three days work and three days working on the tan - it was great.

Bryan: Easy - sitting at home in my house in Ireland - that's the best day off you can get. Can't remember the last time.

Bryan: Ireland our home country - it's great to perform there. Outside Ireland? It would be Northern Ireland.

Bryan: Most stuff yeah. Sometimes we can't fit it on the plane because we've got so much baggage but we try to keep as much as we can.

Bryan: It's left up to the songwriter or the producer. We never have arguments about it - whoever is picked is picked.

Kian: Hello Sweden. We don't hate them at all. It was a story in the press but it was all untrue. It was blown up. We know them quite well and we like what they do.

Kian: Yes we did it was fantastic. The audience received us very well and we look forward to doing it again. Very loud audience.

Kian: Yes I have. Quite a few actually. There's fans that we meet and they've very nice people. 70% of them I would have no problem taking them out on a date. I have dated a fan before.

Kian: 'Can't Lose What You Never Had' - I sing bass on the tracks and the bass is very prominent on that song. It's really funky for me to sing.

Kian: Metallica and Bon Jovi and Guns N Roses - hello Malaysia we're coming there in four weeks to do a tour and we're really looking forward to that.

Kian: When I was 15 I recited a comedy poem and I knew it but I'd forgotten it. I wrote it out and half way through the poem I needed the piece of paper and started reading it and then got stuck and took over a minute to find my place in the poem.

Kian: Umm. Food, mobile phone if it worked, and music - my entire CD collection. I've got 60 on me all the time

Westlife: Our record in England has sold 1 Million and it's now a No. 1.
Westlife: We're now in the Guiness Book of Records being the only band to have 5 Debut singles go to #1.

Westlife: Starlight, we love the US it's brilliant.
Westlife: Everytime we're here we go to big parties, shop, everything about America we just love.
Dish_Diva: Flyingwithoutwings Asks: All of your songs on the album with flying without wings seem so emotional and deal with love. Did you choose these for any particular reason? My boyfriend and I think you're awesome and Flying is "our" song!
Westlife: Flyingwithoutwings, thank you very much.
Westlife: All our songs are very emotional and I think we deliver them the way we do because we're emotional people.
Westlife: Our second album, because we've pulled from what our lives have been like it's also very emotional.

Westlife: Sheepinabox, there are a few options, there's another song that is an option for a single. Can't lose whwat you Never Had and Flying without Wings.

Westlife: Millie, we're heading back to Europe for a few days and then a tour in Asia.
Westlife: On May 20th, we come back and we'll be doing summer road shows, stuff like that.

Westlife: Florida girl, origionaly Shane, Kian, and Mark had a band and then they decided they needed 2 more people in the band.
Westlife: so Nicky and I (Bryan) auditioned and Nicky and I were both friends so I think it was great that 3 friends met 2 more friends and we all got together.

Westlife: Jessypoo, we've only been to LA, NY, San Diego.

Westlife: No one really has a journal because when we have free time, we use it to write songs.

Westlife: Smallred, yeah, we're going to Canada in the beginning of June as far as we know.

Westlife: The Backstreet Boys have been idols of ours as a band, also Michael Jackson, Beatles, Phil collins, Miariah Carry, Beach Boys.

Westlife: Beebee, we have a couple of times, yeah.
Westlife: 2 years ago we supported them at their concerts.

Westlife: Iris, no we won't be, it didn't make either of our albums. It was a good song, but it wasn't right for the album.
Westlife: So I don't think so.

Westlife: Loopy Sheep, we can go to a lot of America because they don't know us. But in Europe we're #1 so it's not a good place to go.

Westlife: There is a special going out on the 15th of may for the anniversary.

Westlife: She's amazing, she did a medoly of all her songs. You've got to watch her.

Westlife: She, Billy Joel, Uptown Girl, that song is probably the most memerable song to me.
Westlife: Swear it again is probably my favorite song on the album- Shane.

Westlife: WL, I don't think it's going to be our first, there are a few before that, but will be the first big performance on that side of America.

Westlife: Storm, well we're probably not going to release the single in Aug. or Sept.
Westlife: We're trying to record our next album before the year is up, so there will be a little gap, but don't worry we will be in the UK a lot.
Westlife: We'll be doing a light tour in England next year.
Dish_Diva: iris Asks: Hi Westlife. The Irish are quite very funny people and I'm sured you've pulled a lot of pranks. Have you ever tried pulling a prank on Ronan?
Westlife: Iris, I don't think we ever did to be honest.

Westlife: No, we played in England with a club called Leeds United professionally.

Westlife: Sarah, it's a lot smaller, America is like being in the movies. Shane says, the smell is unbelievable.

Westlife: Danger, we've been there already we were in Auckland and then of course we're hoping to go back.
Westlife: And then to New Zeland, we've had some #1s there in New Zeland. I know they are far away, but we are not forgeting them.

Westlife: Grafton for shopping also Powers Court.
Westlife: there's pleanty of resaurants and things, and Temple Bar is always good.

Westlife: Luv, yeah we have to come back over and do it.
Westlife: yeah, it was just some more close ups.
Westlife: all the videos on the albums are pretty good.
Westlife: we had the same director as Brittany Spears and Backstreet boys.
Dish_Diva: Jenn_Luvs_Westlife Asks: why did you decide to put out a different album in North America?
Westlife: Jenn, it was kind of a decision from the record company.
Westlife: The America audience like to hear more 'poppy'.
Westlife: There's 17 tracks, and there's only 13 on the American and they wanted to cut some down and they obviously had to take a few.
Dish_Diva: Jenna says: Why don't you have accents when you sing? Are you able to tell that?
Westlife: Jenna, I don't know why that is, I don't think that anybody does. Even if you listen to Backstreet Boys, you can't hear their American accent
Westlife: Or people from Ireland that have really strong accents, you don't hear it when they sing.
Dish_Diva: Westlife_Princess Asks: Do you ever get "really" homesick?
Westlife: Princess, sometimes we do.
Westlife: We have a sponsorship with a phone company so we are able to ring home without spending a fortune.
Westlife: So we're going to be away for 2 months and we're going to be a bit homesick, but it's nice to have a laugh like we are tonight.
Dish_Diva: luv4shane Asks: Has a fan ever done something you thought was totally creepy?
Westlife: Luv, there was one time in Argentina and we were doing a song for 7,000 people and this girl came in and she was wearing nickers (panties) and wanted me (Nicky) to sign them, but Kian signed them
Dish_Diva: EMA Asks: Do any of you play instruments too? The string arrangements in your songs are gorgeous!
Westlife: EMA, no unfortunatly, not on the album, Kian, Mark and Bryan all play instruments.
Westlife: Nicky and Shane don't.
Dish_Diva: patticake says: Is it true Nicky you are level headed and you like football?
Westlife: Patticake, yeah, that's true.
Westlife: I'm kind of remember where we come from. I don't get enough time to watch football. I'm a big sports fan, but not as big as Americans.
Dish_Diva: fyi says: nicky, how do you feel when you play for leeds united? i want to know because i like leeds united
Westlife: fyi, I loved it, it was a dream come true for me.
Westlife: My early childhood was just wanting to play professionally, and to cross the water was just a dream come true.
Westlife: But this now is great and I would never go back.

Dish_Diva: angelette Asks: how old were you guys when you first started singing, and how did you know it was something that you wanted to do as a career?
Westlife: Angelette, when I was about 10 I would say and I started on stage when I was 4 and even at that age, I always knew that's what I wanted to do.
Westlife: Then I started doing musicals at 9 and knew that was what I wanted to do.
Westlife: I play guitar and started playing in a band and thought I'd be in a guitar band, I knew it was what I wanted to do.

Westlife: Luv, we play little things all the time, like hiding people's shoes. I can't think of one in particular.

Westlife: Saintly, Nicky would be a police officer, Mark and Brian would probably be in College, and I would probably be on stage

Westlife: Kimi, probably not for quite some time. We have to tour and we've got a lot to do. We've got to see how well our album sells.
Westlife: We really look forward to doing something like that in the US.
Dish_Diva: musik365 Asks: What's the most memorable moment in your life other than in the music indutsry?
Westlife: Musik, all the things that have been in my life, I suppose getting my first guitar was big for me.
Dish_Diva: pauline Asks: did all your dreams come true by now, or what is your greatest wish at this moment?
Westlife: Pauline, 80% of them have come true, playing places like Madison Square Garden, stuff like that.

Westlife: Love, yeah, we miss it quite a lot.
Westlife: we've been traveling the world for a year and a half.
Westlife: You miss all the regular every day life, sitting home watching tv, going out with your friends, stuff like that.

Westlife: Emily, probably not, I think that pop music is something that we really love. we're really concentrating on what we're doing now.
Dish_Diva: nnie Asks: Any of u ever think about acting
Westlife: After though, we might do something else, Mark loves R&B
Westlife: nnie, yeah, I think about acting. when I was younger I did a lot of acting since I was 4 and I think it would be something I would love to do in the future.

Dish_Diva: tiana Asks: Which are the most memorable experiences thru all your travels?
Westlife: Tiana, I think actually here in LA where we went to the Grammys and the American Music Awards.
Westlife: We got to meet really cool people like Whitney and Mariah.
Westlife: People we have been in awe of all our lives and being there with them.
Dish_Diva: TiFFany Asks: Were you guys suprised at what you achieved?
Westlife: Tiffany, yeah, very surprised, every day there is a big surprise waiting for us.
Westlife: we find something every day, every time we get a number 1 and we've done it 5 times.
Westlife: We were with a bunch of other people and we won record of the year and that was a big surprise.
Westlife: Like I said every day is a big surprise.
Dish_Diva: angEL Asks: whats your idea of a perfect date/girl?
Westlife: Angel, I'd love to see myself as Mr. Romantic, and I think it's inside me, but I haven't met it yet, that totally romantic side of me.
Westlife: the point of going on a date for me is just to have a good time
Westlife: there's a lot that you can do to have a good time. As long as both people are enjoying themselves.
Westlife: There are people that are more worried about impressing the other person than having a good time.
Westlife: Being open and having a laugh is important. I think sometimes doing the simple things are more romantic like dinner, a dance, and a walk on the beach instead of big complicated things.
Dish_Diva: Lisa Asks: Mark, when is yur next day off? how will you spend it?
Westlife: Lisa, it's not going to be for a long time and when we get some time off it depends on how long we get off.
Westlife: If we have 2 or more days off, we don't have time to go home, but every time we have more than 2 days off, I always go home.
Westlife: We're on the road so much, travel on airplanes so much, I like to totally forget about everything and go back to the normal things that I used to do.
Westlife: It might sound boring, but things like sitting down on your own couch and watching your own tv and driving around town.
Westlife: having dinner with your family, it might sound normal, but it's so fabulous to do when you realize what you have.
Dish_Diva: RubberbandGirl Asks: Have any of you had any embarrassing moments while performing?
Westlife: Rubberbandgirl, yeah, quite a few, one that takes the prize is before I was in the band.
Westlife: I was always very shy, anymore I'm not shy on stage and I've learned not to be nervous, but 2 years before I was in the band, I was performing for my school.
Westlife: My school had a talent contest and I was so nervous and I always forget the words to songs, it takes me ages to learn the words.
Westlife: This time it was just me and the mic stand and a lot of people and all my peers. I was up there singing on the stage really nervous.
Westlife: Then I totally blanked, it was Let it Be by the Beatles and everyone was giggling a little bit.
Westlife: For some reason the words just came back to me and I pulled it off and actually won the talent contest.
Dish_Diva: cinderella says: Why did you change your name from Westside to Westlife?
Westlife: Cinderella, we've actually had more than both those names.
Westlife: Before Nicky and Brian were in the band it was called Six as One, with Mark, Shane, and Kian and 3 other guys.
Westlife: We were all coming together and harmonizing, that's why we called it that.
Westlife: Then when we put on a concert, but it wasn't catchy so we changed it to I.O.YOU
Westlife: Then we met up with Louie, and Nicky and Brian came into the band and we were talking about the name.
Westlife: We thought the band that makes the name not the name that makes the band. We wanted to come up with something different, and I.O.YOU sounded a little corny.
Westlife: We changed it to Westside since we were all from there, and then after about 2 or 3 months it changed to Westlife because we checked to see if there was other companies, not bands, that were called Westside.
Westlife: We wanted to keep West, so we went with Westlife and at first I didn't like the name, but I've grown to like it and I love it now.
Dish_Diva: Mark, guys, thanks for being our guests tonight. Bryan, happy birthday from all your fans!
Westlife: We realize that the fans are the people that put us here and that this is a dream that we wake up to every day. Of course there's the record company, and ourselves, but without the fans we'd be nothing. I love them to pieces. Thank you all for logging on, hope to see you all soon.
