May the Angels keep you
May they keep watch on your soul. May they show you better ways. May they guard you while you're sleeping. May they see you through your days.

May they show you new hopes. May they still your every doubt. May they calm your every fear. May they hear you when you shout.

May the angels keep you til morning. More than this I cannot pray. And if the angels ever fail you. Then may God be there that day.

MY PRAYER

Lord, grant me your eyes, And please let me see

The world as You do- Not focused on me;

A world that's dying And lost in its sin,

Needing a SAVIOR- Not letting Him in.

Lord, grant me Your ears; Oh, please let me hear The cries of mankind

With a heartfelt tear. They're needful of love;

They want it so bad. Lust doesn't fulfill;

That's why they're so sad. Lord, grant me Your tongue;

With love let me speak And tell them of You.

Though I am so weak. I dread when I think;

My life-could it be The only picture Of Christ that they'll see?

Lord, grant me Your touch; With heavenly care,

Help me reach out And with them share.

I know they are proud; They've built up a wall.

But if I persist, Someday it might fall.

Lord, grant me Your eyes; Your ears, tongue, and touch. Lord, I'll do my best-

It may not be much. But take it, dear Lord,

For I'm Yours to keep, And use how You will To plant or to reap.

Can I Say the Lord's Prayer

I cannot say "Our", if I live in a watertight spiritual compartment; if I think a special place in Heaven is reserved for my denomination.

I cannot say "Father", if I do not demonstrate the relationship in my daily life.

I cannot say "which art in Heaven", if I am so occupied with the earth that I am laying up no treasure there.

I cannot say "Hallowed be Thy Name", if I, who am called by His name, am not holy. I cannot say "Thy Kingdom come", if I am not doing all in my power to hasten its coming.

I cannot say "Thy will be done", if I am questioning, resentful of or disobedient to His will for me.

I cannot say "on earth as it is in Heaven", if I am not prepared to devote my life here to His service.

I cannot say "Give us this day our daily bread", if I'm living on past experiences.

I cannot say "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us", if I harbor a grudge against anyone.

I cannot say "Lead is not into temptation", if I deliberately place myself, or remain in a position where I am likely to be tempted.

I cannot say "Deliver us from evil", if I am not prepared to fight in the spiritual realm with the weapon of prayer.

I cannot say "Thine is the Kingdom", if I do not accord the King the disciplined obedience of a loyal subject.

I cannot say "Thine is the power", if I fear what men may do; or what my neighbor may think.

I cannot say "Thine is the glory", if I am seeking glory for myself.

I cannot say "Forever and forever", if my horizon is bounded by the things of time.

I cannot say "Amen", if I do not also add, "Cost what it may," for to say this prayer will cost EVERYTHING.

The Christian Alphabet Poem

Although things are not perfect

Because of trial or pain

Continue in thanksgiving

Do not begin to blame

Even when the times are hard

Hold on to what you know

Imagine life without His love

Joy would cease to be

Keep thanking him for all the things

Love imparts to thee

Move out of "Camp Complaining"

No weapon that is known

On earth can yield the power

Praise can do alone

Quit looking at the future

Redeem the time at hand

Start ever day with worship

To "thank" is a command

Until we see Him coming

Victorious in the sky

We'll run the race with gratitude

Xalting God most high

Yes, there will be good times and yes       some will be bad, but....

Zion waits in glory... where none are ever sad!

Remember..... The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor.  The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.

Heaven's Doggy Door

My best friend closed his eyes last night, As his head lay in my hand. The doctors said he was in pain, And it was hard for him to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head, As I cradled him in my arms, Were of his younger puppy years, And Oh... his many charms.

Today there was no gentle nudge, With an intense "I love you" gaze. Only a heart that's filled with tears, Remembering our joy-filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me, And said, "You should cry no more, God also loves our canine friends, He's installed a doggy door!"
