HERE THEY ARE...

Jenova wrote in and asked:
How do I get Knights of the Round summon materia I've been hearing so much about?

Well, Jenova, to get this wicked materia, you need to have a golden chocobo, (I will show
how to get this in my up and coming chocobo breeding guide) and then head out
to the north-eastern part of the map. There is an island there that is not shown
on the map. Once on the island, it looks like a crater actually, there is a cave inside,
the Knights of the Round materia is in that cave.

Brain wrote in and asked:
Can I get Bahamut Zero without destroying the red sub in the mini game?

To get Bahamut ZERO summon, you need to have Bahamut and Neo Bahamut materias
and then you talk to the Huge Blue materia in the machine in Cosmo Canyon, and
to the best of my knowledge Brian, you get the Huge Blue materia from Shinra
No. 26 when you open the lock just before crashing into meteor. Now, I'm not
positive that this is true, but if in fact you get it from the downed sub, then you
definitely have to sink it then go to where it sunk and talk to it. If anyone is sure of
which of these two spots holds the Huge Blue Materia, please tell me and I will
post it here.

Bob wrote in and asked:
How do I get the final spell combination materia?

Bob, if you are referring to the Final Attack materia, here's how to get it. First you need
to be fairly good at fighting, then go to the battle square. After you gain enough BP
to get the Omnislash AND W Summon materia, get both of them and then you will
be able to fight in a special, harder battle arena, finish this one and you will
get the Final Attack materia.

Riz wrote in and asked:
I didn't get the Contain materia before the city was destroyed, is there any other way
to get master materia besides the Emerald WEAPON?

Actually Riz, this is very common. People think that once Mideel is destroyed, that the
white chocobo is gone, while in fact, if you go into the destroyed Mideel, head up the
hill to the left, jump across, and there is the woman again, with the white chocobo
close by. Talk to the chocobo (make sure you have mimmett greens) and give him some
greens. Tickle the chocobo on the neck and he will give you the materia. (I don't
think that all characters are able to tickle him, so try it a few times with different
characters)

Richard wrote in and asked:
Where do you get the Alexander Summon?

This materia is very commonly overlooked because it is not just something you find, you
actually have to do something to get it. First, go to the great glacier, from there, go to
the hot springs and touch the water. After doing that, go to the witches cave and talk
to the witch. She will fight you and if you win, you'll get the materia.

John Demoth wrote in and asked:
My friend said he read a magazine that showed how to get the ultimate materia. The mag
said it would  take 6-8 hours to get. I thought Knights of Round was it but it  only
took about 45 minutes. I mean even if I took my sweet time it still wouldn't take that
long. Do you know where the ultimate materia is?

Well, John. I do not know what materia you are talking about. There are only a few things
that I think it could mean. 1) That he is talking about the Ultima materia? But that is
just something you pick up. 2) That it is the Master Magic materia? To get this might
take someone 6-8 hours. If this IS what your friend was talking about, then to get it
you need to master all of the Magic materias then talk to the Huge Green materia in
Cosmo canyon. If not, then you will have to be more specific. Hope I helped you!

Strife wrote in and asked:
Is there an easier way to get through the temple maze than just following the old man
towards the end of disc 1?

I assume that you are referring to the part with all the steps and vines in the Temple of the
ancients. If so than, I don' think that there is an easier way, you just have to navigate your way
through to the end of if. You can follow him but you could probably just figure your way
out. BUT if you are referring to the part where he is walking in and out of the holes in the
cliff, than all you have to do there is memorize which door that he goes into and comes of.
If you can go into the door that he should come out of then he will be surprised and the door
will open.

At the very end when all the stars are coming at you, does anything happen there? Also, in
the Japanese version of the game, is the ending different because you could resurrect
Aeris so she couldn't pray for holy?

First of all, I let those stars go by for about 3 hours when I first finished it and nothing
happened, and to the best of my knowledge, nothing ever does. But as for the
question about the Japanese version and resurrecting Aeris, I don't know that much
about the Japanese version of the game since I only own the American. Although, if it
is true that you can resurrect Aeris in the Japanese version of the game (which I didn't thin
you could) then there would definitely be a change in ending. I think though, that Aeris
was left dead in the Japanese version... but if this is wrong, can someone verify it for me?

Vincent  wrote in and asked:
Can you resurrect Aeris in the American version?

No, there is absolutely NO WAY to resurrect Aeris in the American version. I have heard that
they were originally planning to be able to resurrect her, but left it out due to
deadlines. I have also heard that there is a Game Shark code that lets you play as Aeris
throughout the rest of the game. If I find this code, I will post it here.

Strife  wrote in and asked:
Is there any specific use for the Sexy Cologne from early on the first CD, right before
Don Corneo's mansion?

I have gone through the game a few times now and I have not found a use for it. And I really
don't think there is one for it. If anyone has found one, please send it in.

Guillaume Laroche  wrote in and asked:
What's the password for the Huge Blue materia?

The password to open the lock to get the Huge Blue materia on Shinra No. 26 is: CIRCLE,
SQUARE, X, X.

Tyler Thursby  wrote in and said:
I think in the game, right when Aeris died, no one even cared. I saw the part where
they lay her in the lake but other then that they never really talk about her and
no one is even the least bit sad. It seems unreal.

All I can say is that you obviously haven't finished the game because they do talk about
her throughout the game, especially towards the end where they talk about her
praying for holy. It gets very obvious that Cloud cares for her a lot and everyone
does care that she is gone.

Locke  wrote in and said:
You couldn't resurrect Aerith! Aerith not Aeris like in the US version, couldn't be
resurrected in the Japanese version.

I said above that I didn't think you could resurrect Aerith (Aeris) in the Japanese version
and I guess that this just proves it... thanx. I also know for a FACT that she can't be
resurrected in the American version.

Glacius35@aol.com  wrote in and asked:
How do you get Alexander from that blue dude?

I assume that "that blue dude" is in the Great Glacier? If so then that "blue dude" is
actually a Witch, the Snow Witch in fact. Above I had posted how to get the
Alexander summon, but I'll post it again. To get the materia, you have to go touch the
water in the Hot Springs just north of the witch then go talk to her again. If you do
it correctly then she will fight you, win and get the materia. The Alexander summon
is probably the most overlooked summon in the game, so make sure you get it!

Brian  wrote in and asked:
Where is the Final Dungeon?

The Final Dungeon, also known as The Northern Cave or Northern Crater is located on
the northern island on the map, the one that looks, oddly enough like a chocobo. It
looks like a big crater with a black center. To enter it just go above the crater and
land. Although the first time you go there, landing is automatic.

Zifnab  wrote in and asked:
My room mate and I have finished the game but have yet  been able to
get close to killing Emerald or Ruby Weapon. Is there anything special we
should have besides the K Of The R and W-summon when fighting them?

The WEAPONS, I admit are hard, the Emerald much more so than the Ruby. To beat the
Ruby, simply equip your best character with the Knights of the Round - Hp Absorb materia
combination and also W summon and a Mime. Make sure your main character survives
the whirlsands, then W-summon KOTR. When you summon it, afterwards, you will gain
back about 9400 HP so just keep miming it and you should be all right.
To beat Emerald, however is a different story. When I bet him, I had 3 master magics, a
level 3 KOTR, 3 mimes and a 4x-Cut materia on. There is no REAL way to beat this
guy, the way I bet him was to have the first person cast HASTE and REGEN, then the next
person cast W summon - KOTR then I kept miming that with each character. I guess I
lucked out because I got to cast it 11 times in a row, which completely wiped him out.
One final note, If you do not have AT LEAST one Final Attack - Revive materia
combination on one of your characters, then I don't think you can have much of a chance
against either of these enemies. (unless you have spent countless hours level building like
I did before I bet these guys)
P.S. These weapons have around 1,000,000 Hp EACH!

When do I get Cid?

You get Cid just after you Hi-Jack the Tiny Bronco in Rocket Town. He joins your party
after you crash into the ocean with the damaged plane. For more help on this, please
