Confusion

There is darkness in me, darkness that burns and aches

I feel a lightner, near you, that beckons me to rise

But I stay, rooted to the rock, and grow cold

I just stay, and stare, feel unseen watching eyes

And I wonder, why I cannot rise, why I cannot fly

And all I can think of is darkness, a darkness that eats,

Me

Death is light, a feather, I want to float, but life, so glorious,

weighs me down

But all that there is, is an empty darkness, and you, are all I see

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laughter
When it hurts,
All we can do is:
Laugh a little
Talk a little
And die, a little more,
Inside
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Reach Towards the Light

Dark thoughts

Race through my mind

Tickles my soul,

Sends shadowy doubts,

To clutch

My heart

Dark thoughts

Twine 'round me

Encircle me

And open my eyes

To what I

Don't want the see

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning
I shiver, in the morning-touched air
Dew-drops shine,
In the early sunlight
Shadows pass, over my face
In the brisk, morning breeze
Birds call
A symphonic cacophony
As the sun rises
Over the tree tops
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Brilliance

Deep thoughts

Draw me down

And I drown

In thoughts

Deeper and blacker

Than any ocean

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Quiet
Solitude
I rejoice
And cry in
My lonliness
Fleeting reflections
As I walk the
Crowded corridors
Of my life
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A White Smile

Cold,

Slithers around me

And I cannot feel it

I am numb

Frozen

And I cannot bring myself

To care

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Light
Smile!
Are you happy?
I am
If you are not happy,
Neither am I
But I am always happy
Even if I am not
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Smile

Grim laughter

Echoes

In my brain

Manic laughter

And I find myself

Wondering

If it is mine

I cannot tell

Can you?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mirrors
I look past
The looking-glass
Into my own eyes
And see:
Pain
Hurt
Loathing
All hiden
By a bright smile
And a flim of numbness
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fleeting moments

Running

From myself

From emptiness

From darkness

From pain

From death

From life

From myself

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silence
I try to be
And I cannot
All that I was
Could be,
Is gone
And all that I am
Is a shell
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Death

Emotionless

Stainless steel

No caring

No love

Only Empty Darkness

And cold steel

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Closet Space
A whirling mass
Of my own emotions
Closes over me
And I am lost
In a tumbling darkness
Created by
Caring
Too much
Or too little
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rainbow

Moving, changing

Flowing, living

A kalidoescopic world

Slides past

My unrelieved,

Never-changing

Haven of blackness

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A long, dusty ribbon
Lost to the world
To which, I have
Never, really belonged
I walk, untouched
Uncaring
And yearning
For a warm smile
That is real
And not for
The person behind me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Reflections

Remorseless

Mute

Clear, cold, dark eyes

Stare

Into the mirrior

Into mine

Shaken out of thought,

I realize,

That those eyes

Are mine
