Young Marines Dear Mr. Parker: I want to personally thank you and the members of your Board of Directors for hosting our meeting on Sunday, April 11 at your Headquarters and for the follow-on meeting between you and Brianne Pindel and Brooks Corley and PNC Paul Hastings on April 26. From our perspective, I thought both meetings were frank, informative, and instructional for both sides. After the April 26 meeting and completion of the Draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), I sent the MOA to the members of the League's Board of Trustees for review and decision. In my letter, I provided them with three potential courses of action as follows: 1. Approve the MOA as written and accept the fact that the Young Marines are no longer a subsidiary organization under the supervision and/or control of the MCL. 2. Modify the MOA, but also accept the fact that the Young Marines are no longer a subsidiary organization under the supervision and/or control of the MCL. 3. Restructure and reorganize the program under the general supervision, direction, and control of the MCL. The reason for the last potential course of action was that the members of the MCL believe that the Young Marines' Board of Directors violated the Young Marines of the Marine Corps League bylaws and the original Articles of Incorporation with the District of Columbia when you amended your name without consulting the Marine Corps League. The Board of Trustees of the MCL has overwhelmingly voted for Number 3 to restructure and reorganize the Young Marines of the Marine Corps League program under the general supervision, direction, and control of the MCL. On behalf of the membership of the Marine Corps League, we wish you the very best.
Semper Fidelis,
ROBERT E. BECKER, JR.
