Next: Exaggerating your Opponent's weaknesses

Previous: What is FUD?

There are three basic strategies here, usually combined, plus one strategy that
at first thought does not look like FUD but which in reality is often a component
of FUD:
- .
- Exaggerate your opponent's weaknesses,
- .
- Invent weaknesses for your opponent that do not exist, and
- .
- ``Spin'' your opponent's strengths to present the appearance of weaknesses.
- .
- Promises of Future Bliss
A sub-strategy is distraction. You want to take your opponent's attention away
from the fact that you're using FUD to attack his product. Thus statements like:
``I like product X, it's a great product, but ...'' followed by the FUD (in
an apologetic tone to attempt to disguise its nature).
