It's actually just 33 minutes into Feb. 6, but this way, I'm not pressured to write anything tomorrow.
Tonight was fun. I worked out and got back around 7pm and then Candice came over and we made fun of each other for a half hour. Then we ordered pizza and watched videos of last year because she wanted to see my BG friends. Just until 8pm though because we had to watch TGIF. Just a little tip for any of you who plan on ordering pizza soon: Do not, and I repeat, NOT get the Pizza Hut New Yorker. Blaaaaaah, it was awful. The sauce (and I hate sauce to begin with) was way too sweet. So Candice and I just ate the crust off. Around 9pm, I talked to Joci for about 45 minutes which was lovely. Hearing her voice is such a thrill for me. It's so terribly sexy, maybe she's a 900 number operator. :-) Somewhere in the night's excitement, Christy came home and the three of us watched more videos--they laughed their asses off at a couple of them which I admit, are pretty bad. There is one where I kidnap my sister and I carry into the house on three separate occasions--like "Oh, maybe they won't notice I've already done this...twice." It's amusing. Candice just left about a half hour ago. It wasn't a lively or spectacular night, but it was fun. I like Candice a lot. She's groovy. (It is 60's week on NBC, after all)
So I have to get up ungodly early for a weekend tomorrow and I wanted to go to bed early, but they're having a raging party next door. I actually don't know how "raging" it is. Christy and I have been listening to the music for the past 15 minutes and have finally decided to call it Spanish folk music. I just don't know what the fuck they're doing over there. I know there's a lot of them--I keep seeing them walk by our porch window and to even further convince you--I can hear them. I know all the girls who live next door and they are all fairly normal. I just don't know what kind of friends they have. It's like--they think Ohioans are weird?? Sheesh!
The past couple of days I've been going through my archives and I realize that basically from August 97-January 98, my entries are horribly boring so if you read me back then, pat yourself on the back. My life just got so much more exciting from Feb 98 on, not to mention, my writing definitely improved. Not that I'm saying I'm a fabulous writer now, but back then--I cram 20 different topics into one short paragraph and call it an entry. Or else I'd totally talk in code so it was boring and frustrating for anyone who was reading it. It's humorous, but just a little bit depressing to add that around the time where my life got so much better was also the time I started drinking. Go figure. :-)
In case you care...some of my favorite entries:
March 25, 1998--The entry itself is not all that exciting. Nothing earth shattering happened that day. I like the first paragraph where I talk about one of my theories as a kid and I also like reading what I wrote about Joci back in the day where she was "just a friend" but I was in love with her and just hadn't brought it out into the open yet. And finally, the part where Linda's family comes to our dorm is just plain hysterical. Read it, you'll enjoy it.
April 2-6, 1998--Joci's first visit to me. Enough said.
April 21, 1998--The picture of my Astronomy teacher alone is worth checking out this entry for. And the surrounding rambles aren't too bad either.
April 28, 1998--My first Rambler mention of my relationship with Joci--before you even knew it was Joci.
May 4, 1998--One of the best nights I've ever had out with my friends--includes drunken pictures.
So that's that...those are my favorites to date. So far anyway, I'm still in the middle of June somewhere. I know this is so exciting to you so I'll keep you informed of good ramblers that you may have missed.
Alright, the cha-cha music from next door seems to have died down. Time to try and catch some zzzzz's
