Rated: PG-13

This movie contains language, adult content, and a naked indian lady (from behind), and a french guy's ass. That's all you need to know about that. As usual, I would not recommend it for small children.

Type: Comedy

*** (out of five stars)

In this movie, set in 1804, the illiterate drunk trapper Bartholomew (Chris Farley) and explorer Leslie Edwards (Matthew Perry) are commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson to go on a westward exploration mission in the event that Lewis & Clark fail. However, their exploration team is filled with incompetent characters, such as their French interpreter, Fontenot, who can't understand any of the native languages and Bidwell, who gets several of his body parts dismembered. On the way to reach the Pacific before Lewis & Clark, they run into all sorts of trouble, such as a hostile Spanish conquistador, bad weather and violent animals.

I gave this movie four stars because its very funny and, unlike Chris Farley's other 3 big movies, all the humor doesn't come from him getting the crap beaten out of him. It's still not exactly the most sophisticated movie in the world, but it's good for plenty of laughs.
