The Negotiator

When police officer Danny (Samuel L. Jackson)'s partner is killed, Danny becomes the chief suspect and is asked to turn in his badge. He breaks into a federal building to find important files about his dead partner, and ends up holding several people in the building hostage who he thinks will be useful in proving his innocence. He asks for Chris Sabian (Kevin Spacey) to be his hostage negotiator; Danny finally convinces Sabian to help find evidence of Danny's innocence. I gave this movie three stars because there's a good amount of action and suspense, but nothing incredibly original.
