Rated: R

This movie contains graphic violence and language. I would definitely not recommend it for children.

Type: Horror

**1/2 (out of five stars)

"Scream 2" begins in a movie theater, where everyone has flocked to see the new movie "Stab", which is based on Sydney's (Neve Campbell) experiences with the murderers in the first movie. When two people end up dead during the movie's showing, however, it becomes apparent that there are copycat killers on the loose, and they begin to go after Sydney and her friends, who are now in college. Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and the rest of the survivors from the first movie appear in this one, too.

Although fans of the original will probably enjoy "Scream 2", this movie could have been better; however, like almost all horror movie sequels, it seems to be a re-hash of the original with more violent death scenes. There are a few very suspenseful and scary parts, but the movie suffers from a lack of originality that fails to make it anything extremely different from the first one.
