Rated: PG-13

This movie contains a little bit of violence and adult content. It should be okay for most smaller children.

Type: Action

** (out of five stars)

In this movie, a toy company, in an attempt to create a top-notch toy, places surplus military microchips in its toys to make them more realistic. However, things go very wrong when the toys turn out to be much more intelligent than they were intended. The Commando Elite toys, led by Major Chip Hazard, are out to kill their enemies, the peaceful Gorgonites, along with anything that stands in their way. Alan, the son of a toy store owner, had purchased several boxes of the toys in order to boost business at his father's store. However, when the Commando Elite gets loose, they attempt to kill Alan because they see him associated with the Gorgonites. Alan must protect the Gorgonites and his family from the Commando Elite before things get too out of hand. Although "Small Soldiers" is PG-13, it's geared towards a mostly younger audience. I gave it two stars because the plot is pretty dumb; however, there are decent effects and action to keep the viewer interested.
