The Waterboy

This movie stars Adam Sandler as Bobby Boucher, a waterboy for a college football team. He is eventually fired and gets a job as the waterboy for a rival team led by Coach Kline (Henry Winkler). After facing constant ridicule by the members of the football team, Bobby has a sudden burst of anger and knocks out the team's star quarterback. Despite objections from Bobby's mother (Kathy Bates), the coach convinces Bobby to join the football team and enroll in college. While playing football, Bobby falls in love with a a girl named Vicki (Fairuza Balk). In the end, Bobby has to make the choice between playing in the big game against the rival team or taking care of his sick mother. I gave this movie two and a half stars because, although there are some funny parts, the plot sucks and half of the "humor" comes from Sandler hitting people.
