Hinoto

Hinoto is the incredibly powerful elder sister of Kanoe and the yume-mi for the Dragons of Heaven. She cannot hear, see, or walk, and thus is restricted to living beneath the Diet Building. She communicates telepathically, and besides working with the Dragons of Heaven, she divines the future for the government of Japan.

She is apalled by her sister's wish for the end of mankind, and often times when they talk in a dream, she pleads with Kanoe to change her mind. It was Hinoto who first realized that there were two "Kamui's", thus two possible futures. She tried to get Kamui to come to the side of the Dragons of Heaven by showing him a dream of the future, but this only infuriated him to the point that he attacked her when he met her. She discloses to Kamui later that his mother was the shadow sacrifice for Earth.

Hinoto is represented by the Tarot card The High Priestess. The High Piestess represents the feminine side and the unconscious, silence, and the "hidden parts of the mind". It's astrological association is the moon, the symbol of the lunar goddess. The moon is the symbol of growth (new moon), fullfillment (full moon), and decline (new moon).
