Annual Bus Trip a success! On Saturday, June 8th, a group of Round Table members enjoyed the annual bus trip. This year's excursion concentrated on several sites in northern Virginia where history was made in the months following Lee's 1863 campaign in Pennsylvania. With the aid of historical staff members from Prince William County's Historic Preservation Division, the travelers visited Bristoe Station Battlefield, Auburn, Buckland, and Rappahannock Station; all of them the scene of combat in the fall of 1863. One of the group said that: "This year's bus trip gave us an excellent opportunity to see some fascinating areas that have been preserved and to learn a great deal about a period of the Civil War that has been overlooked for too long. We had a great time!" And... We continue to have great books and magazines for our "Books for Bucks" table at the back of the room. Remember to stop by, browse, or donate something you no longer need. It all helps your Round Table! Bert
