IMMEDIATE GOALS

Some of the goals of GhanaCare/HealthAfrica are:

  • To make quality, affordable health care services available to all those still living in Ghana.

  • Promote cost effective care in the private sector in Ghana using a managed care model and other innovative financing arrangements.

  • Implement a health care model that encourages self reliance among Ghanaian nationals and indigenous Ghanaians and which is financially and structurally sustainable over the long run.

  • Optimizing health care financing in Ghana and the rest of Africa by creating networks among indigenous Africans and non-African individuals and organizations that support sustainable health care delivery systems in Ghana.

  • Building on our successes in Ghana, apply the same quality and financing principles to other African countries, making Ghana a health care leader in Africa.
