Adventures

We had some fun this year. We took some field trips and we did some traveling.

We attended our old home church's Jubilee Camp Meeting in February. We always enjoy going back to County Line Baptist Church in Walnut, Mississippi, to visit friends and family there. And the Camp Meeting is always exciting to us! Because of the time we commit to the meetings there, we take those days off from school.

The most impressive field trip we had this year was when we visited the state capitol in Little Rock, Arkansas. We were able to see the state government at work since both the House and the Senate were in session that day. The capitol building is modeled after the U. S. capitol in Washington, D.C.

We spent nearly the whole day there touring the building and watching as our congressmen made decisions and voted new laws for the state of Arkansas into existence. Beth was especially interested in the House of Representatives, but we all enjoyed the debates in both houses of the Arkansas Congress.
