Todays Gripe-
AT&T Solicitors. They show up unannounced
at businesses and want to discuss the phone
bill. This happens all the time. They always Just
happen to be in the neighborhood, Imagine That !!!
how convenient, FOR THEM !!!!anyway This happened
again,This moron we will call her CLAUDIA, could not
understand that because I was running the
store alone, and had 2 customers
why I couldnt just ignore them
and talk to her about the phonebill.
(I guess she was kind of stupid )
Well Unlike AT&T, My customers come
first because if they are not taken
care of, they will leave and
then I cant afford to pay my AT&T bill

ONGOING GRIPE (ALWAYS in effect)
New car buyers BEWARE !!!
think twice before buying a chevy. They are not reliable.
My 97 Van, purchased new has 11,000 miles on it.
as of 8-1-98, I have replaced 3 tires ( they wouldnt honor
the warranty for the crappy tires they use )I am on my 3rd
battery,2nd alternator and 2nd catalityc converter.The air
conditioner knobs broke & were replaced as well as the drivers
side tail light lens that filled up with water when it rained.
the trim where the side door opens is flaking.the piece that
attaches to the bottom of the front bumper fell off. It is a
shame because I really like driving this thing
PS: UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER,
i think my 2nd catalytic converter is bad,
havent had time to bring it to Chevy.
Chevy update 1/29/99
Turns out they Just needed to replace the muffler,
I guess they only last 15,200 miles....
update 2-11-99 as I was driving home
my rearview mirror fell down- now What ??
Am I that ugly ??? Also the rear end is
starting to rattle.( the van's not mine )
4-23-99
As I left for work, I managed to get
3 whole blocks before the fanbelt
broke, and some pieces of van
fell to the street-
The tow truck was called
H&H Wrecker- I highly recommend
them took it to the Dealer, Grand prize
Chev. where they will replace the fanbelt
and broken pieces, fix the grumble in the
rear end, Hang up the rearview mirror
and repair the side mirror. So
I will keep you posted !!!

why do people say ' hot water heater'? if the water is hot,
you don't need to heat it, right? is a new vw beetle a slug
bug? i hate it when those automated answering systems say
'your call is important to us', or 'so that we may serve
you better this call may be monitored' what really cheeses
me off is when i'm playing at club and some asshole wants
to hand me a request or strike up a conversation in the
middle of a song. this may look easy but sometimes i have
to think about what i'm doing. where's the chicken wire
when you need it? why are club owners such pricks? if you
pack the place on thursday night he'll say it was twice as
busy last thursday. why izzit the loudest guy in the band
can't hear himself? the biggest guy can't carry anything
cause he has a bad back. whew! i feel better now.

Like you, I now hate Chevys. I have a 1992 Lumina sedan
- "torch red" - looks great but:
5 or 6 alternators - I lost count
2 drivers side door handles -
the freaking things just broke - takes a
couple weeks to get a new one
some kind of clear plastic film is peeling off the dash
stereo stopped working (Bose Silver Series -
supposed to be really hot
system - it was until it broke)

I got one think that I think that sucks. When i was in
school I always heardthat
guitars suck. That it takes no talent at all to play.
I grew up around music.
My father plays the guitar and the bass.
He has been playing since he was a
boy. I have been playing guitar for as long as
i can remember. I use to get i fights with the boy on
my school bus about how rap takes more
talent then playing guitar. There is nothing wrong with
rap if that is the music you like.
I just don't see the talent in it.
I was alway told to each there own.

I, too, drive a Chevy van, a '97 4WD Astro with about 58,000 miles on it
at present. I work for a utility company in the southern Missouri Ozark
mountains and my coworkers and I put about 30,000 mile a year on these
company vehicles.
Just shy of 12,000 miles, I noticed that the rear differential seals
were leaking oil and it had to be replaced. A co-worker had to replace
the same seal on his '97 Blazer at 7,500 miles. At 25,000 miles I had
to replace a front wheel bearing and, like you, the air conditioner
knob. At 36,000 miles, both rear axle bearings and the pinion bearing
needed replacement; the same coworker as above had to do the same with
his Blazer as well as replace the axles also.
At 50,000 miles, the airconditioner knob broke again -- this time I
fixed it myself by wrapping the split shaft entirely with a single layer
of thin (28gauge) wire and then "tinning" or soldering the wire. The
heat from the soldering melted the shaft slightly and while it was soft
I reinserted the split-ring insert back into it and put the knob back on
the air conditioner control shaft. Chevy should have reinforced these
knobs in a similar manner when they designed the vehicle.
Did I mention the leaking rear door seal that kept the carpet in the
back soaked for the first couple of months until the dealer finally
admitted that the seals were not on straight and reinstalled them? Or
the windshield wiper motor that kept failing at the most inconvenient
times until I found the ground wire which had simply been shoved under a
nearby bolt rather than attached to a proper connector when the van was
built?
That co-worker I mentioned recently had to replace the transmission in
his Chevy Blazer at something like 60,000 miles. He told me that there
was no wait for parts, the dealer had four spare transmissions in stock.
Tell me that they don't fail often enough to warrant a dealer making
that kind of investment in inventory!

What gets my goat is rusty tin cans but what gets me is when a really good toffu hunt is spoilt by
drunken beaters. Also, slugs. Mind you it could be worse - used to be it was almost everything
but after the operation I was more laid back, now it's only a cyclic thing.

.If you still absolutely MUST forward that 10th-generation
message from a friend, at least have the decency to trim the eight miles of headers
showing everyone else who's received it over the last 6 months. It sure wouldn't hurt
to get rid of all the ">" that begin each line. Besides, if it has gone around that many
times - we've probably already seen it.

My biggest gripe is, when trying to reach my email accounts, I receive
the following message: "We're SORRY we cannot process your request."
"DID YOU FORGET YOUR PASSWORD?" Big duh!!!!!!!!!!
