The Characters of the South Seas Campaign:

Heroes of the Sword Isles

What follows is an accounting of those few otherwise normal personages whose skill and circumstances would set them apart as heroes - or dastardly rogues and rakes, depending on who you ask.
(Note: I reserve the right to re-use pictures that I used in the last campaign. If you know of anywhere I can get some good fantasy clip-art, let me know! My last source dried up! Most of these images are character portraits provided on the AD&D CD Rom.)

The Swashbuckling Heroes:

Joshua Waverider (Tim Brunson)
Male Human, Hydromancer
A young human apprentice mage who hopes to be a succesful ship mage someday. Currently, his friends consider his best spell the one that allows him to turn water into beer.

Dramen "Silvereye" (Chuck Heisler)
Male Sea Elf, Fighter / Thief (Swashbuckler, Pirate and Sellsword)
Once a member of a pirate crew, from which he parted in most unpleasant circumstances. He's trying to put a different spin on his life, but his old crew keeps cropping up in the most inconvenient of places.

Glebrilad (Bob Vialpondo)
Male Vale Elf, Psionicist (Swashbuclker, Martial Artist)
Son of a wealthy Vale Elf merchant family with humble beginings. He is currently pursuing the martial arts - and dodging engagement to one of the many girls who hold some small part of his affections.

Lord Kryn (Mark Sulik)
Male Human, Fighter (Noble)
A member of a lesser noble family, young Lord Kryn has a preponderance of friends in low places, and a penchant for large - or loud - weapons.

Trafen Cokol (John Beck)
Male Sea Elf, Fighter / Mage (Spellarcher and Bounty Hunter)
An orphaned sea elf, Trafen has grown up to be a bounty hunter with a vendetta against the bandits who slew his parents and the noble who freed the bandits. His motives are often honorable but means are often questionable.

Aireannwyn (Elizabeth Kelly)
Female Human, Priestess (of Salaya) (Spy)
Aireannwyn is a priestess of Salaya, the Aborian goddess of wind, song, and freedom. She is a bit of an agitator and anarchist. She occasionally acts as an agent provacatuer in her quest to free slaves that are held by various nobles of the Sword Isles. This has made her a few enemies in high places.

Edward D. Sabaka (Robert Parker)
Male Half-Elf, Bard (Swashbuckler)
A troubador of somewhat humble beginings, Edward is a troubador and adventurer of high aspirations. He has learned a bit of fencing and hopes to someday enter both the prestigious fighting schools and minstrel academy of Tai. Along the way, he hopes to encounter a little adventure and swoon a few maidens. Surely, that's not the only adventure he's going to encounter.
Quotes: "D is for dangerous," or "D is for dashing," or "D is for daring," etc.
