Not Knowing What To Expect

(Spoken)
The rain looks angry tonight
I wonder what morning will bring
A land of ruins
Or birds as they sweetly sing...

(Sung)
I tried to say I was sorry
But you just wouldn't listen
My time ran short
And yours flew by
Then you left without goodbye

**I thought you knew I was joking
But maybe that thought was wrong
Or maybe I'm just being paranoid
Maybe that's the problem

(Spoken)
It's letting up now
I can live my life now
I'll try at least
I'll make it happen somehow

(Sung)
I wrote you a letter
Offering my apology
I don't know if you'll write back
Let alone read what I have to say
But I want to know...

**If you thought I was joking
Or maybe you didn't
If I'm being paranoid
And if I am let me know

(Spoken)
It's starting up again
Much more fierce though
Do you have something to tell me?
Is it all just a show?

(Sung)
I knew about your lies
I just didn't care
Are you going to continue playing with me?
Cause if you are...

**I thought you were joking
When you told me those lies
But I went along anyway
Not knowing what to expect next

I tried to say I was sorry
I wrote you a letter
I knew about your lies
What else can I do?
It's up to you now
It's your turn now
I'll wait for the answer
Not knowing what to expect
