YASOU! This is my pride page! In case you've been living in a CAVE, you probably already know I'm Greek and extremely proud of that. You can ask any of my friends and they will tell you about my "obsession". Being Greek/American or American/Greek is rather different compared to being another heritage in the USA. We have big Greek dances/food festivals/ etc. I personally don't have a problem with it. I mean Greeks helped the world evolve. SO JUST BACK DOWN! I do many things which pertain to my heritage along with church, I attend St. Spyridon's Greek Orthodox Church. I am very active in my youth group, G.O.Y.A (Greek Orthodox Youth Association)I am secretary(Kosta!!)gonna be prez this year. Also I am a Greek Hellenic Dancer for my church's senior group.I have been dancing for 13 years and Greek dancing is the muther of all, just agree!. I speak almost fluent Greek, it's not "grammatically correct"..whatever! I play GOYA basketball for All Saints Greek Orthodox Church and we have the best losing record! I attend the tournaments with all the coolness Greeks of the tri-state area(W.V.,Ohio,PA). The tournaments are just plain ill. So as far as my background goes in Greece, my father was born in Greece on a small, egotistical Island named Xios(cHios). For those of you familiar with the island, he is from the village of Vrodatho. so anyway--XIOTI POWER!!!!!! And my Papou(grandfather) was raised in Kitheria and his whole family is from there- so that makes me around about 25% Kitherian and 75% Xiotisa. AND FOR ALL YOU CRETENS OUT THERE--YOU CAN KEEP ON TRYING TO MATCH THE POWER OF THE XIOTIS, BUT DON'T TRY TO HARD. I'm just messin around. But aside from Athens, Mt.Olympus etc. Greece is made up of hundreds of tiny islands. Each one different in its own special way. They are by far the most peaceful, beautiful and unique places in the world. Rocky beaches, awesome sunsets, the Mediterranean Sea. The country is a beauty and if you ever have to oppurtunity to go---GO!
