FBI Corrupt's History

The band's original members were Danny Leonidas, Pat Bartlett, and Almon Rottela, and they formed Ketchup Knife. They never even held a real practice, and on April 20th, 1999, they fired Patty B and brought Adam Dobson on board to play bass. They had their first practice in Almon's basement, and wrote what is some of the bands best songs, like Ice Berg, Bannana Rum Trip, and Doggy Days. It was agreed upon that Ketchup Knife was a rather stupid name, so they decided to also go by KNF. The band continued to practice off and on in Almon's basement, and soon they had come up with stuff like Nerds (by Danny Berg), Something New, and Out of It. They played a practice in Shaun's basement, and soon Out of It became their best song. Adam left that summer to go to Italy, and Danny and Almon continued to practice, and even made a "music video". When he came back, the band finally started getting serious, and wrote some new stuff like Dig Me Perfect, Politcally Correct, and When Hippies Kill. The band was starting to get good, and they moved into Adam's basement and Weasel Time Studio's was born. They started group practices with Verbal Vomit, but there were way too many people in a tiny basement. KNF wrote some new stuff, like the infamous Death of Innocence, Pointless Existence, and Hitler's New Age Breed. Slowly but surely, Out of It seemed to kinda dissapear from the bands songs, and it semi-officially got dropped from the list. One day, with Shaun on drums, Danny started playing Fat Head by Screeching Weasel. He gave the notes to Adam who jumped in, and soon they had another song. By now, the band was ready for a show, and they had Shaun schedule them to play at The Getaway. A few days before the show, Chris Morris came over for a practice and tried out on lead vocals. He did pretty bad, and it was pretty much decided he wouldn't sing at the show. He brought the lyric book home, and in a very short time learned all the words. He sang most of the songs at the show, and despite short notice he did a really good job. The band officially decided to hire him as a lead singer, and he quit Verbal Vomit, and became the fourth member of KNF. Right away the band started preparing for the next show, and Danny came up with a song called Flush Your Life, and after one practice it became one their best songs. Soon after, they wrote Sick Subway, and another hit was born. The band finally came to their senses and decided to change their name. Some choices were Jaded Youth, Internal Submission, and Visual Deception, but the band came to terms on Re-tract. After a big misunderstanding with a note that was passed around school, Chris's mom didn't want him to be in the same band as Adam anymore. On top of that, Chris had a busy schedule with Cross Country, so he decided to quit the band on December 5th, 1999. Once again they had to have a try out for a new lead singer. In the mean time, they wrote two new songs, only they had nobody to sing them. They played a show on December 10th, with Chris filling in on vocals for one more show, and that night Danny decided to quit also. Adam and Almon were left to start a new band, and considered Luke Synder on vocals and Mike Flynn on guitar. The band held many practices but it seemed they could never all get there at the same time. On December 21st, Luke "officialy" joined the band on vocals. They became FBI Corrupt, due to the member changes. They started working on some new stuff, like a cover of Link 80's Verbal Kint. On January 4th, 2000, Morgan Lichtenwalter came to practice and played trumpet for that song. They started working on some new stuff, like Freak Show, which is a modified version of one of Melissa McAnear's poems. Kurt and Morgan became official members on January 23rd, 2000. They dropped Pointless Existence and Ice Berg, and started writing some new stuff. Luke wrote Girl, a song with a swing type intro, that speeds up into pure pop punk. Also soon after he wrote AC DC Hicks. Kurt skipped several practices and they decided to try out some new people on guitar. They re-tried Zach LaCoarse, and also tried getting Kevin Fitzgerald, and Nick Rock. They fired Kurt in early Febuary, and on Febuary 22nd, Almon announced he had to move to Florida. The band was in shock, now stuck without a guitarist or a drummer. They tried out Kevin, and Danny Berg was hired to try out on drums. They never really found a replacement, so Luke and Adam joined up with Nick Tamer, Brian Reil, and Mike DeRasmo to form the Krazies. Thus, Ketchup Knife/KNF/Re-tract/FBI Corrupt is no more, and has taken its place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame.
