Libertine is the new band led by Belvy K.- ex D Generation, 7 
Seconds, and UK Subs.  They play a charismatic Clash-style punk 
rock'n'roll that's true to its' roots while staying plenty current 
with lotsa modern day relevance and enough turbo-angst to power a 
Radiohead record.  
     
     In very short time the band's built up quite a 
following in their native New York and Northeast.  Libertine's 
already shared stages with you name it: Goldfinger, Lunachicks, US 
Bombs, Samiam, D Generation, Pilfers, Blanks 77 etc. (hell, their 
first show ever was at Buffalo WARPED TOUR '97 - going on between 
Sugar Ray and H2O!).  
     
     Libertine also played a week of dates on the 1998 Warped Tour and 
are the only unsigned band ever to play the NY K-Rockathon (with 
Third Eye Blind, Smashmouth, Our Lady Peace, Blink 182 etc...)  All 
this without having a thing released...yikes!  
That's about to change, though.  By the fall Libertine will have two 
7" records out (on Alive/Bomp Records and American Punk Records 
respectively.)  A full length LP due out soon should aid the cause as 
well.
