The original USS Enterprise (NCC-1701)was launched in San Fransisco Yards orbiting Earth 
in the year 2245.It was refited in 2270 getting a new bridge module and new warp drive
 nacelles. In 2271 it was assigned to training vessel in Starfleet acadamy. 
In 2285 it was hijacked and destroyed by James T. Kirk to prevent it from falling into the hands 
of the Klingon Empire (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock).
