Christopher Pike was the second captain of the infamousU.S.S. Enterprisefrom 2250 to 2263. He commanded two five year missions to boldly go where no man has gone before. Christopher was one of the first humans to go to Tylos IV where he met some extraterrestrial beings that imprisoned him in a force field cage and gave him illusions(The Cage TOS). In 2263 Pike received a promotion to fleet Admiral and turned the ship over to Captain James T. Kirk. In 2267 pike was injured and needed to be “wheel chaired” the accident was so bad that he could only say yes or no by a number of beeps. The new 1st officer on the enterprise, Spock, (who also served under Pike) returned him to Tylos IV where he spent the rest of his life in the illusion he was as he was before the accident.
