At present, the CUE Drama Club has approximately 60 members, including auxilliary members from different girls' schools. This year, we are busy preparing for our latest production to be shown this coming October, an adaptation of Victor Hugo's classic novel, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."
Through this production, more and more new talents and budding actors are discovered and tapped to play interesting roles. Of course, the proven ones are still in the group, this time given more challenging and meatier characters.
Performing with us this year are girls from Stella Maris High School and St. Paul College of Pasig (SPCP), together with two girls (under VIVA films/television) who have played cameo roles in a number of GMA TV shows and VIVA Films produced movies. Girls from SPCP's drama club (SAM) are also attending our rehearsals.
Still sharing with us their artistic talents and expertise are UP Filipiniana Dance Group's Jordan Punsalang, and our very own Mikko Ordoņez. Jordan will be coreographing our scenes while Mikko will be arranging our music and will be scoring the play.
The script, written by Mrs. Virginia Natividad is now available for all CUE members to photocopy at the LSGH high school library.
