Cabrillo Point -- The Old Lighthouse

I've been in the old lighthouse dozens of times. But I had never taken pictures until yesterday. So I took a few yesterday to try out my new Sony Mavica MVC-FD91. I still need to work out using the autowhite setup. :( As always, click on a picture to see a bigger one.

So, step through the door and let's go in.

On your right as you enter the lighthouse is the kitchen.


On the left is the living room.

There are 2 bedrooms on the second floor. Here are two pictures of the south bedroom.

And here is a picture of the north bedroom:

This is one of my favorite pictures. The lighthouse may have been built in 1855 for purely pragmatic reasons, but the stairwell has an elegance all its own. Have a look for yourself:
