Cabrillo National Monument-Lizards
The park provides 150 acres of habitat for a wide variety of
flora and fauna. Among the fauna are a number of lizards. If you just sit or
stand still for a while where the sun hits a sidewalk or rocky area and keep
your eyes open and listen for rustling leaves--and they just seem to pop out.
Here are 5 examples that I snapped at the park on May 10 and 17, 1999. Yes,
there IS a lizard in the center of the picture at the right. |
