The Alamo - American frontiersmen gathered to support a revolution against a foreign despot, and held out against massive odds. Until the climactic moment when they were annihilated, taking large numbers of the enemy with them. Their sacrifice changed history.




Bluebonnets - the official state flower of Texas. It was named for it's color and, it is said, the resemblance of it's petals to a womans sunbonnet.




The Texas longhorn brings to mind days of old, the cattle drives where weary cowboys drove these heards to market, always a popular breed know for it's hearty survival.




The landscape is dotted with these giants from a simpler time. They were used for pumping water and powering machinery on farms and ranches.




Palo Duro Canyon - The canyon was created by wind erosion and water erosion of the Red River. This seemingly insignificant stream carved out a colorful rugged canyon; some 800 feet deep and 110 miles long, second only in size to the Grand Canyon.




Texas - The Sweeping Drama - Horsemen carrying flags appear stop the 600 foot canyon wall as colorful singers and dancers below sweep across the stage. The professonal cast of 80 reaches into the past to reveal the struggles, strengths, celebrations, burials and politics of the early settlers.
