Marlboro has 22 of these facilities installed previously and the District in cooperation with the County and the Pee Dee Resource Conservation and Development Council, is in the process of desiging and installing an additional 35 dry hydrants. By having these facilities available for rural fire protection the insurance premiums for many of the County's rural homeowners should be reduced.
