THE WALDEN FAMILY

Elisha Walden was born 22 July 1793, of English parents, in Virginia.  Elisha was in the War of 1812; moved to Georgia about 1820 and made his home just south of present day Atlanta and was a farmer until his death 30 October 1871.  In Jasper Co., Georgia, on 8 February 1829, Elisha married Elizabeth Hill.  Elizabeth, was born 31 July 1808 and died 27 January 1891; said to have been a cousin of Georgia Senator Ben Hill; Elizabeth was the daughter of Greenberry Hill and Martha Ivey, his wife.
