Lackland AFB
On 4 January 1989, I enlisted in the US Air Force. It was a Wednesday.Like all enlistees, I went to basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas. It's down on the south central area of San Antonio, Texas. I was in the 3701st BMTS (Basic Military Training Squadron).
My follow-on assignment for Training was to Keesler AFB, Mississippi
