My first and only assignment was to Randolph AFB, Texas again in San Antonio. Randolph is situated on the far northeast side of the San Antonio. Universal City, Texas is the small community that is just outside the main gates.

I was stationed at what is now AFPC for my entire career.

Books and such...
The Randolph Library was quite good for its size. I remember reading a few books while I was in San Antonio. Here's a list:
  • The Cay
  • The Boxcar Children
  • The Tale of Genji - didn't finish it
  • The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations by Georges Polti - didn't finish it

I also read Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell. We bought this from Alberston's one day.
