Charlie is the old man of the house. He is eight years old and is a "red"short haired old fellow. A real sweet guy but, whines like a fire siren when we leave or come home.
He has been retired from "service" so, he is getting a little "chubby" around the middle. He likes to sleep on his own chair with his own blanket.
A very mellow fellow and loves lots of attention. Don't let those sad eyes fool you, he really doesn't get beaten.
Snoopy is a six year old long haired "red". His litter mate was our sweet Chip who has gone on to play in fields of dog bones. As you can see from his picture he "smiles" and also sits on his "hinney" and sort of barks for attention.
He gets along with all of the rest except when one of the girls is in her "special time". Then he and Charley pass a lot of words that I am glad I don't understand.
He sleeps under the covers along side my feet at night. Hogs the bed and the blankets too.
Skeeter is one of our babies. He is only five months old and a "wild" bunch of energy. Never stops except to eat. He is also a long haired "red" but has a black tipped tail.
I believe he is going to be larger than he is supposed to be. His mother is Belle, and his father is Snoopy. I would love to hold and cuddle him but, all he wants to do is "eat" my fingers, my nose and my face.
When I get up in the morning he grabs my nightgown tail and tries to drag me away. He has more toys than "Toys R Us".
Bam-Bam is our miracle "baby". All his litter mates died and I had to bottle feed him from day one. He is almost six months old and is a "red"fuzzy short haired. It's almost like he couldn't make up his mind which he wanted to be, long or short haired.
At about four months he came down with Parvo and we nearly lost him. You can read about Parvo and other ailments that plague Doxies on our Vet page.
He is just the opposite of Skeeter, he wants to be held, cuddled, rocked, "in the rocking chair" and sang too.
We have cats and they stay in the garage. It's up for grabs who gets through the door first, us or Bam-Bam. They don't care but he has a ball chaseing those who will run. His mother is Annie and his father is Snoopy.
This is "our" little Chip. He was afflicted with one of the many things that happen to Doxies, and their backs. You will read about this on our "vet" page.
He was a loveable little guy and Snoopys litter mate. He loved to play and chase me while I was throwing balls for the other "boys". He could have been "tiki" father but, we are not sure.
To those of you who are not pet lovers loseing him was like loseing a part of our family. And, another strange thing is we believe in reincarnation and our new puppy "Skeeter" is so like him, looks at us with those deep brown eyes and I am sure I see "Chip" some where in there.
