Orion's belt region

This is about a 15 or 20 minute exposure taken with my Pentax K1000 and a 135mm f2.8 telephoto lens that I bought used for $30. The camera was piggybacked on my Ultima 8. It is unguided. The film used was Kodak PJM.

Just visible to the left of the belt of Orion is the Flame Nebula. If you know just where to look and just what to look for, you can just make out the Horsehead Nebula. It showed better in the original scan, but due to the light polluted sky where I shot this, I needed to darken the scan to make it presentable. I will reshoot this from a dark site as soon as I get the chance.
