This is the summer Milky Way around Sagittarius. The teapot asterism, lower left of center, is the most recognizeable area of the constellation. The bright region above the "spout" of the teapot is approximately the center of our galaxy.

This is an extremely rich area in stars, clusters and nebulae. I don't know of any galaxies that are visible with amateur equipment in this area due to the large number of stars and intervening dust from our own galaxy.

I would attempt to name all the deep sky objects here, but there are just too many. This is an awesome area to view with binoculars or a rich field telescope.
