The Morehead-Rowan County Rescue Squad (MRCRS) was founded in 1977 by the late
Mr. Donald I. Greenhill, of Morehead, Ky., and Mr. Don Young, also of Morehead.
We are a totally non-profit organization dedicated to helping the community. 
Starting from a Boy Scout unit who's interests were primarily related to search
and rescue, we quickly grew into a thriving service that brought Rowan County a wide
variety of much needed emergency services. Some include; vehicle extrication, search and
rescue, water rescue & recovery. Additionly we providing assistance to the
Emergency Medical Service of the Rowan County.
