The West Island's Halqa started in the month of November, and Alhamdulillah we are still operating at full strength. Presently, we have about 15 Muslim brothers weekly. Brother Hamid is basically running the Halqa and brother Suhail is helping him. When we first started, most were week in faith but were anxious and willing to learn. Now, Alhamdulillah, there has been a very big improvement in most, if not ALL of the brothers. We are currently on the subject of the prophet's (PBUH) life. In our Halqa we have quiz games, we assign a couple of brothers each week to summarize certain suras from the Qur'an, and we also select one brother weekly to give a short talk on any subject he wishes.
