Shinji Ikari
Shinji is the main character of Evangelion, "Third Child," and pilot of Eva-01. With the
death of his mother and his father's departure for Nerv when he was four, Shinji has
grown strongly independent. However, this independence is rooted in his fear of being
hurt, so he does not play well with others. In the entry plug, Shinji is strangely at ease,
yet he's prone to bouts of crippling terror, often followed up by bereserk frenzy (as far
as I know, this rage may contribute to Unit-01's "berserker".)
